Just a couple of days before the SKC trial on 15th Feb 2009, Wenta vomited and he wasn't in good condition. I was prepared to withdraw him if he couldn't get well after taking the medication. So on the actual day of the competition, I brought him there without much expectation of winning.
He was competing in an Obedience - Intermediate level and Jumper - Novice. He did well in the obedience, and I think he had put up a good competing spirits. We were both happy that we completed the exercise. When the result was out, it was really beyond my expectation that he won 1st in the Intermediate class with a total scores of 191/200. When it came to the Jumper event, he really gave it a full charge. This was the 1st time he competed in Jumper which I started training him 3 months ago. He ran fast and followed my commands well. When he entered the collapsible tunnel, I once thought that he won't go through it as it took him sometime to come out. But he finally made it through and executed the command perfectly. Perhaps it was his day, he won 2nd in Jumpers, lost by less then 2 sec to the 1st winner.
